Apologies to Football fans. ( I forgot!!) !  With Ireland Match starting at 7.45, we might have our chat at 6.30pm.  Guaranteed finished in time! 😊

All welcome, even if not available this years trip, or not yet convinced!!

Main points to cover:

- A bit of an outline of what's involved.

- Where we meet, and boat loading etc.

- What to bring with you, for on and off water.

- Small run through the basic checks for offshore trips.

Oisin Creagh is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

@juliagrace - Hi Julia, afraid we didn't record, but happy to run through again for anyone who missed it, just useful for run through options what to bring and what to expect!  Nothing essential, just a bit of background. Might run again on Wednesday night this week, if enough interest!  Oisin

We will need to keep a close eye on the weather during the week. It is looking pretty wild (dramatically wild on Saturday!) for weekend at moment, but could well change closer to date.

Will try to provide updates as week goes on, and if still a GO, we might be trying to meet on Thursday evening at Shandon for loading... TBC. 👍

If weather improves, looks like we could have five boats taking part.

Sorry Rowers.

Disappointingly, the forecast has really not settled for this weekend. Even if we managed to get a brief improvement for one of the days, we would be very unlikely to have favourable sea conditions with such unsettled weather in coming days.

Having chatted with Jim Malone (tower No.2 and experienced Cape Clear rower!) we think it would be best to make the call now, and call off the planned trip for this weekend, and keep the option of another weekend in coming weeks open.

Sherkin Forecast: 😐

I am sure there might be a sheltered Easter Weekend rowing option in Cork City to make up for this, with Sunday looking like it might have some potential!

We will get there soon again!

@oisin Thanks Oisin for calling it. Disappointing but wise given the conditions. Hopefully we'll get out there later in the season.

Coming back home would have been interesting!!  😉 Hopefully another opportunity will arise soon.  We will keep an eye on things in coming weeks and see how we get on.  Oisin
