The ongoing boat painting and repairs projects are continuing this week. There are a bit of a list of boats awaiting attention and while it would be nice to do a few more at a time, the boats are in big demand these days, both in town and at Paddys Point!!  If anyone is free to do some work on two boats in Reliance building tomorrow evening after work, all assistance would be welcome. One boat in there ideally needs to be flipped over, if we had enough help!  Hope to go in and be there after 6.30, if anyone is available for an hour or so.

If we can get these prepped and coated tomorrow, they can get second coat on a day or two later and they have a few days drying/ hardening time, before going back to Shandon for Saturday morning.  Another quick operation on Saturday morning (thanks to the gang who turned up this weekend!) at about 10.15 at Reliance, would see boats loaded back onto trailer and ready for return to Shandon for morning row. Another one or two can then be loaded again after row on Saturday.

We will get there!  Thanks for all volunteers and support. Busy time also and overlapping with Fionbarra preparations for going back on water soon, and MM working on getting dragon boats on water too for inter-firm event!!

Lots going on, on the Lee the next few weeks.

Thanks.  O

Thanks. Andersons Quay, next door to Cork Simon. Big yellow gates! Approach from West ( one way street in front of the building.) We can open gates to yard and a few cars can swing in there, to park. Meeting there at 6.30 for less than an hour, if we have a few hands.

They are on the list. 👍  We hope to recover the trailer that is in MM in next few days ( Needed to move split dragon boats ) and then hopefully swap a few dryer boats, with wetter ones brought up to town!  We would tackle two boats at a time but might leave some location short a boat!

Thanks again to the volunteer group who turned up last night. 👍

We might have to do similar run next Monday for next boat that comes up, a smaller team can pop in after 24hrs drying time to do second coat, and then Saturday morning 10.15am lift off and swap boats on way down to rowing again for anyone interested.

Sorry Mary, only just in after MM Interfirm Dragon Boat event training night on water.  We are doing some joinery this week, but need to get two boats from Paddys Point into the Reliance building asap, to get going on these two leaky boats!   If we could organise Paddy's point rowers to bring bown trailer and bring home Rinceor Na Greinne it would be a great help. O

Doing a bit more painting Monday evening if anyone is free for a short while. No need for loads of people. Two boats just need second coat and one needs first coat ( Part painted in thinnest areas already)  If it suited people better we could defer until 8pm, to let you grab bite to eat first or to go for Monday evening row? Aiming to have the three boats in Reliance ready for water by weekend, and maybe on trailers for West Cork.

If anyone happened to be down at Paddy's point before the weekend, we would need to collect three sets of oars and dowels to allow us use these three boats for Cape Clear trip next weekend. Muireann/ Dluth Taca/ and Rinceor Na Greinne.

Thanks all.
