Not sure when MM are to circulate the news formally to competitors, but just home from Safety Briefing meeting with O2C team and safety crews.
Ocean to City 2025 will be a double loop of City to Blackrock Castle and back. City to City! Real shame, but safety call first and conditions a bit marginal to say the least. Last time it had to be this course was 2017. 😑
More details will follow shortly from MM. On a positive note, no need to transport boats to Crosshaven this year! One trailer in Reliance to be shifted back to Shandon and all boats can be unloaded there and launched on Saturday.. all times etc TBC.
Race starts likely to be an hour earlier.. first starts around 2.30pm I understand.
