Many club members will be unaware of this discussion on a what's app group today, so I thought I'd share this to the full club, and also have it here to find it easier for future reference. Some interesting information on a better way to keep slipways, piers, steps etc. clean without hazardous chemicals

Sodium Carbonate /" washing soda" sprinkled and worked into the area with a stiff brush , and left to do its thing before washing off is good for moss on concrete / patios. Not sure if it's as good on algae but worth a try. It breaks down into non toxic elements. Ref Nancy Birthwhistle....I have a couple of her books, and she has plenty of info online / social media etc ......

@marymndlngmail-com - Can be bought cheaply in discount retailer stores too. Mixed with vinegar its also a greta scrubbing cleaner for 'dirty stuff'! 😊
