Good morning everyone!

Myself, Oisin and Colin all recently met with Joya and Isobel from Meitheal Mara for an update on the CMAC and where the project currently is. As previously mentioned by the outgoing committee at the AGM, Joya/Isobel are looking to form a working group with reps from all of the potential CMAC partners - Naomhoga Chorcai, the Dragons, MM, Search and Rescue, the Fire Brigade and Blackrock Rowing Club. We now have some more specific information about this.

Joya is looking for volunteers in the form of 2 separate working groups, 1 or 2 reps for a Fundraising and Financial Strategy group and a second 1 or 2 reps for an Operations working group. Ideally, the nominated reps would have some relevant experience / interest in the focus of each group, as these will be practical, working sessions. Meetings will take place online via Zoom (monthly), and participants will need access to a laptop/PC so the sessions are as productive as possible. Schedules will be organised once reps have been established. See below for a few more working group details. This is all the info we have at the moment.

Fundraising & Financial Strategy Working Group: (Purpose: develop recommendations for a shared, realistic funding strategy – looking at funding opportunities, phasing models, fundraising roles, long-term sustainability, etc.)

  • Site, Needs & Operational Model Working Group: (Purpose: develop recommendations based on partner needs and study findings – looking at the needs audits, essentials vs desirables, operational models, feasibility and river use studies, etc.)

Please let me (Stacy) know if you are looking for a way to represent NC and brainstorm on either of these committees to help move the CMAC forward and to keep the conversation going among all the partners.

Thanks a mill and have a lovely day!

Stacy

@shane That's Brilliant, Shane! Here is the link to a poll to coordinate meeting times etc that Joya sent on. Once you fill that out, she'll set up the meetings. Thankd so much!
