Hi there, weather (possibly) and tides have aligned for an attempt on the Blaskets next weekend. Given the short notice and probable difficulty with accomodation it is likely to be a long day drip. Most suitable day of Friday 17/07- Monday 20/07 to increase the option of securing a suitable weather window. On that note the wind forecast is changing daily.
This is a long open sea row and to be eligible participants must have completed an O2C at a minimum.Numbers we can accomodate will be dictated by number of boats we can bring but we expect a max of 20 people (4 x 4 hand with steering oar) subject to to 2 trailers and 2 towers. Please indicate interest here and confirm if you can tow.
The organising committee for this trip are ceannasai Jim Malone and Elaine Winters and referee Colin ODonnell.
The organising committee's decision with regard to suitability for participation in the trip will be final.
Given the expected weather conditions precautions will have to taken by all participants against sun stroke. High factor SPF, hat, suitable clothing, plentifull supply of water.
Super interested, unfortunately busy on the 17th but if other days go ahead, count me in please.
Paula Spillane is available.
I hope to accompany the fleet in my own sailboat.
I’m Interested Frank, Saturday, Sunday or Monday I available.
Could you please add Stacy and myself (John M) for this trip please. Available Saturday and Sunday.
Many thanks to the organising committee.
