Proposed training row Sunday 17/05 SBC - Passage return. This is instead of the suggested relay to PP and avoids the issue of returning cars from PP to SBC.

Meet at SBC at 10.00am for onwater departure 10.45am. Row to pontoon at Passage, break for 20/30 mins and return to SBC.

Priority will be given to O2C participants. There are a number ofboats at SBC out of action for various reasons. If numbers allow, non O2C participants will be accommodated.

Please sign up here, 02C captains please confirm how many of your crew are available.

This will be the last centrally organised long row before the race.

Lee Regatta is on Saturday and Sunday which has scuppered our plans for the training row from SBC Sunday. As an alternative we are aiming to get out of PP early Sunday meeting at 7 45 am. The wind us forecast to pick up from 12.00 mid dayThis will mean trailering boats from SBC to PP. We need to load them THIS EVENING FRIDAY 15TH AT 1830. Please come if you can and confirm and also let me know if you CANNOT make the rescheduled row

Hi Jim - John and Maura in our crew can make it to PP for Sunday at 7:45.  It will be the two of them only from our crew.

They’ll both head down for boat loading shortly too.

Cathy

Forecast for tomorrow has deteriorated over night so it will be a quayside call in the morning. If we get out we will have to be off the water by 12.00noon latest.

Likely course will be upriver towards Passage against tide and wind.

Some port traffic as outlined below impacting our planned route

Weather Wind W 24klm gusting 39klm. Possibility of rain.

Tide: LW Cobh 12.51 0.32m

Port traffic: 11.00am BG Emerald Cork Container Terminal to Ringaskiddy, 12.00 Calypso arriving Ringaskiddy Deepwater berth. 13.45 Samuel Beckett arriving Haulbowline
