Hi everyone,
We were approached by Cork Sports Partnership to participate in their outdoor sports campaign from the 15th to the 23rd of August. The Committee have decided that it would be great to be a part of Outdoors Week 2026 and that we would have a normal Saturday morning row/public row, but limit it to the people who book in through CSP as our public rowers for the day. (Booking would be organised by CSP and we would cap participation at a certain number, we would advertise our Saturday row as members only that day on the Forum). This year we will only participate on 15 August.
In order to have enough Captains and Strokes present on the day to provide full or partial spins for participants, we are just trying to get an idea of who might be around that day so we can set an appropriate cap/limit on the number who might book in for the row that day through CSP.
Please respond here if you are around that day and able to help out. Thanks so much!
Stacy
Count me in please!
I would also like to mention that in addition to captains and strokes we would like the help of other rowers who could help with managing newcomers off the water (making sure they wear lifejackets / buoyancy aids correctly for example) and launching / recovering boats as well as taking the third thwart as experienced rower in the boat. Thanks!
Colin
I'm around on the 15th.
