An Táin Chorcaí 2025 - Rabbitin' Round West Cork.

June 27 - 29.

Calling all Raiders - after the epic conquest of Strangford Lough last year (and the many towing miles it ensued) we (the high command of the Táin) have chosen shores a good bit closer to home.

And so after a long spell away raiding in other counties, An Táin Chorcaí returns to Cork (much like the Liam McCarthy will do too).

It will be a three day event, headquartered on Rabbit island (which has no running water bar the waves) and plenty of fresh air.

So expect wild camping and wild roving along the coast from Glandore (plenty to be plundered there) Union Hall (home to a sleeper cell of NC), Castletownshend and Reen.

As usual the event is open to Naomhóga Chorcaí members who have completed at least one Ocean to City and so have some long passage rowing experience. You will need your own tent, camping gear and need to commit to all 3 days. Costs are normally minimal, covering towing costs and we try to minimise on excess cargo by purchasing some communal food supplies e.g. BBQ and sampling local eateries too - where tide and time allow.

Places are restricted by our towing capacity, so please express your interest and if you are willing to tow.

Send an email to martin@trasnanadtonnta.com and you will receive your confirmation on a first come first serve basis.

Slán go fóill.

An Táin Chorcaí.

Hi there,

Not sure who is raiding but I've just signed up for the raid. I'm happy to drive if anyone wanted to car pool with me from the city? With gear in the car, I'd have comfortable space for 2 others / 3 if essential.

My number is 0863171138 for direct contact.

Otherwise, if more practical, I could go in someone else's car too.

Please let me know,

Thanks!

Tash
