Hi all,

Having  talked to Colin (our Club Captain) here are some reminders for all our Saturday Duty Captains.

1) It's the responsibility of the Saturday Duty Captains to make a call about their Saturday row as to whether:

A) They cancel it.

B) Make it a members row only.

C) Make it a members row only and making a call at the Quay side as to whether the row goes ahead or not.

Their decision will be based on the prevailing weather conditions.  If the conditions are borderline the lead Duty Captain can contact the Committee for guidance if necessary.

Once the Saturday Duty Captains have made their decision they need to contact the committee by Friday evening at the latest in order for their decision to be posted on our website and forum.

Note: The lead Duty Captain is the first name on the list for each of the scheduled Saturday rows. (See calender for Saturday Duty Captains above)

2) The lead Duty Captain is to contact each of their co-Captains on the week before each of their scheduled Duty days.

3) The Lead Duty Captain will also contact the Lead Duty Captain for the following Saturday. This will allow each Lead Duty Captain to keep an eye on the weather for the week preceeding their row.

4) Each individual Captain needs to be mindful that it's their responsibility to turn up for Saturday Captains Duty. In an event where they can not they need to find a replacement.

5) Finally as this Saturdays Duty Captains are fairly new to all this and having unfavourable weather conditions for the morning. This Saturdays row has been cancelled.  Winds are forecasted to be 30km gusting to 60km.

If any of the above is unclear to anyone, please contact either myself or the culb Captain for further clarification.

Wishing everyone a happy and  holy Easter.

The best. John M
