From a personal perspective, seeing everyone having such a good time gave me huge satisfaction.
As you have highlighted, it was a team effort on the day, as is ever the way with Naomhóga Chorcaí. It’s what makes our club special. NC abú! 💪

Hi everyone,

One week out from the NC Fun Regatta and we are still getting positive feedback and hearing about how great a day it was from lots of people, both from our club and from visiting clubs.

The NC Committee just wanted to extend a huge thank you to John Tynan and John Mitchell for all their hard work that brought this event back to Cork and to Naomhoga Chorcai. And thanks to all who participated, spectated, brought food, made a trophy, contributed a hat, manned safety boats and helped set up for the event on the day. We had 9 crews participate and we hope to have even more next year! A big congratulations to all for making the regatta such a success!

Was it painted white inside! I wonder what paint /bitumen was used for the tangerine man.

No 3 oar has sharp edges that caused minor injury /wound to rower on this morning's row.

This morning's 10am start seemed to have worked very well with 7 boats on the water within the hour and there was parking available. Maybe it was a smaller group than usual with 27 rowers.

I will bring 2 boats from SBC today following public row. So we will have 4 x 4 hands available, possibly a 5th if Mainport serviceable. 2 x 3 hand and a couple of 2 hands so 26 or 30 seats.

Planned course PP - Roches Point - Spit lighthouse - Cobh - White point - PP

If anyone has their own VHF please bring it.

Also everyone should bring PFD,sunscreen, hat, water, snacks
